GEOGRAPHY (PHYSIOGRAPHY) OF PAKISTAN (One-Liner)

  • Gasherbrum-I was first conquered on July 4, 1958 by American Expeditions (P.K Schoeing and A.J Kauffman).
  • Gasherbrum-I is also known as ‘Hidden Peak’ because it is hidden by the neighboring peak of ‘Baltoro Glacier’.
  • Pakistan is home to 108 peaks above 7,000 metres and probably as many peaks above 6,000 metres.
  • Five of Fourteen highest independent peaks in the world (The Eight-thousanders) are in Pakistan.
